What styles of mens leather belt do we make?
The full range for men, in the same full-grain leather and the same made-to-size fit, from a slim dress belt to a wide jean belt.

Every style comes in eleven colours, from black and dark brown through tan and natural to navy, green and burgundy. Black and dark brown are the two most men order; tan and natural suit lighter denim and chinos, natural being the undyed hide in its own skin tone, which darkens to honey with wear.
How do I find my belt size?
Take a belt you wear now and measure it; that is your belt size, and we make the new one so that hole sits in the centre. It is the difference between a belt that fits and one you make do with.

- Measure from the end of the buckle to the hole you use most.
- Enter that figure in inches at checkout.

Which belt width should a man wear?
Match the width to the loops first, then the occasion. If you wear one belt for everything, the 1½ inch is the one; it fits most jeans and most casual trousers and takes a proper buckle.

Why full-grain and not genuine leather?
Full-grain is the top of the hide with the grain left in, so it is the strongest cut and it ages into a patina rather than cracking. Genuine leather is a lower layer that has been sanded or coated to look the part and does not last. Every belt here is full-grain, the same leather we cut for our leather belt straps, and we do not sell anything lower.
Can I choose the buckle?
Each belt comes with the buckle shown, fitted to the strap in the workshop, and there are plenty to choose from across the range, from plain brass and silver to western and American buckles. If you want to change buckles over time, choose a belt strap instead: it has a snap or screw fitting and takes any of our belt buckles in the same width. Wider belts carry a larger buckle well; a slim dress belt wants a slim one.
How are they made?
By hand in our UK workshop, one at a time, since 2010. The strap is cut from full-grain hide at your width, the holes punched so your size sits in the centre, the buckle fitted and the edges finished, with the tip 7 inches past the centre hole once fastened. Orders go into the workshop the day they are placed and leave in 3 to 5 working days; size or colour changes are free within 48 hours.
How long will it last?
A full-grain belt at 3 to 5 mm, made to the right size so it is not strained at the last hole, lasts for years of daily wear and improves as it goes. Ours are guaranteed for life against faults. Keep it dry, let it air if it gets wet, and a little leather conditioner once or twice a year is all the care it needs; our belt care guide covers the rest.
